The Red Book Challenge Goes to Kenya!

We attended the 27th annual Congress of the Primatological Society at the UN in Nairobi, Kenya for 6 days this August. My mom, Valerie, who is a financial advisor to the Red Book Challenge, Milliasse, who is the current conservation educator and Amber (me) all attended. We had fun manning our booth at the event and spreading the word of the conservation education that we do in Southern Madagascar. We met so many people! Some notable delegates that we told about the project were Patricia Wright and Russell Mittermeier, as well as Anthony Rylands, and Edward Louis . Many researchers from Madagascar were met and we compared our projects, with some researchers doing their own colouring books! Others said that it was a dream of theirs to do a project such as ours, and that we could show the way. We shared the news that Kathy West is willing to replicate the colouring book project at any research station around the world. Many researchers were excited about this possibility.
