On February 15th I was invited to speak at the Huron County Library Evening experts event. It was a great time and I thoroughly enjoyed talking about how I became a primatologist, my research work and my conservation work. I also have three more upcoming talks but they are not open to the general public: at University of Waterloo, University of Toronto Mississauga and also at the University of Antananarivo.

I am excited to have a new co-op student from Goderich District Collegiate Institute named Becca McClinchey. She will be helping me with the upcoming publication of one of my PhD dissertation chapters on male harassment of mating in ring-tailed lemurs. We are very hopeful that this manuscript will be ready for publication sometime this year. We are also working together to get the website updated. We will now have a section for all Co-op students, past and present to add their Bio. Eventually, we will have a section to link to all directors on the board and collaborators as well.

Currently I am planning a trip to Madagascar upcoming in April. This trip will be to observe lemurs at Berenty Reserve for one month and to work on the Red Book Challenge during May and June. We will be checking up on the sanitary pad project in Sakalalina and potentially running some conservation education lessons at Berenty Village school. We will also be meeting with students in Ambovombe for an upcoming professional development program.
